Ok so I worked out how to create a module installer. I was looking at Host->Extensions and not Host->Module Definitions. Doh!

Anyhow, I've managed to install my custom module, and it appears on the drop-down list of modules to put on the page. However, when I place it on a page, nothing happens. No view, no settings, no controller. Nothing.

Can someone advise what I might be doing wrong? I'm using this manifest version:

 <

dotnetnuke version="3.0" type="Module">

and I seem to remember removing the controller section because I didn't think I needed it. Maybe that's my mistake...

On your Module's Definition do you have the VIEW configured to be a user control? Does it have a "control key" defined? You need at least one view control WITHOUT a control key.
