Afternoon all,

I've spent the last hour or so trying to work out why some of my dev portal sitemaps (specifically the http://devhost/SiteMap.aspx URL) worked, and some didn't. Those that didn't work returned a normal DNN page rather than the XML sitemap document. Coincidentally, the DNN page was called "Site Map" (without the quotes). After a little experimenting, the problem only occurs if the "Site Map" page is at the top level (i.e. has no parent page).

Anyone else seen this, or have I borked my dev install? Maybe it's just coincidence, but I've been working on HttpModules and URL manipulation recently . . .

Regards,
Rhys

AFAIK this is an issue of urlrewrite, the default rewriter simply strips all spaces and results in a conflict with google sitemap (/sitemap.aspx).
you may solve this issue using URLMaster from ifinity.com.au, which provides you with additional settings, e.g. how to substitute spaces.

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold
