I've found older postings for version 4.3  to this question ,  but Im getting several errors. First on the registration page Even though I create a category
  1.  I never get a category heading "Terms for this site" 
  2.    there is no field type check box 
  3. if they dont accept the terms then I need to mark the account in active
any suggestions on modifying the registration apge

  • login as administrator user
  • go to User Accounts in Admin menu
  • select "Manage Profile Properties"
  • enter Property Name: "Accept Terms", Type: "TrueFalse", Category: "TermsOfUse", Default: "false", Validation Ex: "True". Required: checked, Visible: Checked
  • click "next"
  • on Localization Page, enter Property Name: "Accept our Terms", Required Error Msg: "you need to check the box", Validation Msg: "Please accept our Terms", Category Name: "Terms of Use"
  • Click "Save localized Text" 
  • click "return to profile Property List"
  • click "cancel"
  • Back in User Accounts default view, click "User Settings"
  • check option "Require a valid Profile for Registration" and click Update.

Thanks for the response the problem is I’ve done this and I get the following - its not a checkbox , it displays as a radiobuttons true false And the category does not display. How do I make the true false a checkbox ?

Displaying TrueFalse property type as an option group (radio buttons) is an issue, I just noticed and logged into the tracker (support.dotnetnuke.com). Regarding category names, I acknowledge as well that this doesn't get displayed - I remember it did before. I logged it as well: http://support.dotnetnuke.com/Default.aspx?p=2&i=12961
