Hi everyone,

I am encountering  problems using the RAD Editor with DNN 05.04.02. I would like to be able to configure the File extensions allowed property for the managers (Images, Media etc..).

I know that there is a file config for RAD Editor which is ConfigDefault.xml and I have searched a lot of time to find the line which could help me. I thought the file extensions allowed property was linked with <property name="X..Manager.SearchPatterns"> but changing the values of this property does't affect anything.

Second Point I successfully configured my ImageManager by adding the following lines:
<property
name="ImageManager.MaxUploadFileSize">10485760</property><BR> <property
name="ImageManager.ViewPaths">Portal
Root/Images</property><BR> <property
name="ImageManager.DeletePaths">~/</property>

and the default folder when I launch my ImageManager is "Images", I can delete files (not folders...strange, furthemore I don't understand the syntax for deletePaths) but finally this's approximatively what i want
BUT
<property name="MediaManager.ViewPaths">Portal Root/Videos</property>
    <property name="MediaManager.DeletePaths">~/</property>
    <property name="MediaManager.SearchPatterns">*.mkv</property>
    <property name="MediaManager.MaxUploadFileSize">157286400</property>

doesn't work for the MediaManager. Off course I have got a "Videos" folder.

Can you help me with these 2 points please ? I have searched everythere and don't find any clues...

Thanks in advance,

Cheers,

Nicolas

allowed File extensions for uploads need to be configured in Host settings.

Hi Leupold,

Yes off course I am aware of this setting but this isn't at this level that there is a problem...
For example just try to upload a .jpg file in the flash manager. We are all agree that the flash manager isn't design to handle .jpg files but this is just a example ! You will have an error saying that "The extension of the uploaded file is not valid. Please upload a valid file!" and I just can't configure that...

there might still be issues with file upload and selection in the Telerik Editor Provider from DNN Corp, as you may easily see here on this editor.
