My non-profit's website is running on DNN 4.4.1.  I know that we should have upgraded ages ago, but we're currently in the process of doing a revamp of our site and so our current version is in its last few months of operations. 

For the past week, the DNN application is taking over ten minutes to load a page.  It's not a server issue, the site's running fine. And I contacted our hosting company and there's nothing they can do.

I'm the marketing and communications manager and have no IT support for the website.  The website programming was a donation from before I started working here and I do not have a contact person for support.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this for the next few months?

there are a couple of possible issues.
  • make sure, the transaction log of your database is truncated on frequent backups (ask you hosting provider) 
  • go to SQL in Host menu and execute:
    TRUNCATE TABLE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}EventLog
  • go to SQL in Host menu and execute:
    TRUNCATE TABLE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}ScheduleHistory 
  • if the error persists., go to SQL in Host menu and execute:
    TRUNCATE TABLE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SiteLog
