Running DNN 5.4.4 with Events 5.1.4.

I'm seeing a strange problem with the ToolTips.

If I click on Next/Previous, the ToolTips display changes to an unformatted text box that contains the following example:

header = [Test Event - 8/1/2010 7:00 AM - 8/1/2010
7:30 AM] body=[Enter event description]
cssheader=[Eventtooltipheader]
cssbody=[Eventtooltipbody]

Refreshing the browser, including clearing the browser cache and a hard refresh (Ctrl-F5) have no affect.  You must navigate away from the page and return before the normal ToolTip comes back.  Also, when in this "state", refreshing the browser causes the browser modal pop-up informing you that it needs to resend data.

I have tried this using the Minimal Extropy skin, containers, and module theme with the same result.

Verified using IE 7 and 8 and Firefox.

Hi David,

Can you point me at a site where this happens. I don't see this on my own site which uses DNN 5.4.4 and Events 5.1.4 RC1.

Thanks
Roger

Also, what view does this occur in? List, week or month?

Hi Roger,

Here is a test page where it happens for me.

Hmmm, this is because the .js script that creates the tooltips isn't loaded on your site when you go to the next page (tooltip.js). It looks like this is because partial rendering is not enabled on the Events Container. Youi can check this by going to Host/Module Definitions, editing the Events module, then Editing the Events Container control. 'Support Partial Rendering' should be ticked. Alternatively I think this could happen if AJAX isn't enabled on your site. If you could report back your JQuery settings in Host Settings that would help.

It should work in all situations anyway, but if you can confirm my diagnosis, I can work through a permanent fix.
