Hi,

I am wondering is there is any possibility of reverting back the events module to previous version?
I am thinking about restoring the database back to it's original form and the files but thought to ask if any of you were able to restore the events or any other module of dotnetnuke without restoring the entire dotnetnuke solution.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

The reason I have to restore is that the customization applied to the events module an year or more ago was lost when the upgrade was applied. I am not sure if the upgrade was applied from auto upgrade or if it was manually installed through the extensions.

Regardless the case, I now have to restore the custom solution and was wondering if I overwrite the dll's and events module folder in the desktop modules, what tables would I have to revert in the database and which values to make sure the event module will work with the dll version?

Thanks,
Wasay

The safe option is to restore website & database. I assume you made a back-up just before your upgrade.

A module upgarde does more than just changing some module tables and putting files in the Desktopmodules\* folder, e.g. the module meta info version #, module configurartion. module components, etc. is stored in DNN core tables. This information is (also) updated during installation or upgrade of any module. Trying to manually revert things could end up with a site and/or DNN database that is inconsistent.
