I am working on a bank site, and they are wanting to have a little different color/image scheme based on what kind of banking the person is looking for.

Personal, Business, or Mortgage.

Is there a way to have 1 skin file that checks to see if they are in the Personal directory and show personal.jpg and same for the other 2?

/dotnetnuke/personal/personal_checking.aspx

would have a different image than

/dotnetnuke/business/business_checking.aspx

but both would use the same skin file.

I suggest to splitt business and personal sites on seperate portals if it is possible.  Otherwiese it needs a sourcecode enhancement or creating of a new new skinobject for the logo.

Splitting them into different portals isn't possible based on the needs of the client. I found a solution, but it is kind of sloppy.

Dim tabId As Integer = PortalSettings.ActiveTab.BreadCrumbs(1).TabId
Dim imageName As String = ""
Select Case tabId
Case 71 ' Personal
imageName = "Personal.png"
Case 72 ' Business
imageName = "Business.png"
Case 86 ' Mortgage
imageName = "Mortgages.png"
Case Else
End Select
imageName = SkinPath & "images/title_links_" & imageName

then the image goes like

Hi Jeff,

This guy  http://www.thinkofdesign.com/blog/83/... has some great ideas on how to mark up a skin so that you can use CSS to target just about anything.  If you used CSS to apply the images that might get you home and dry.

In many ways it's similar to your solution - make a decision based on the tab id, but it seems less hacky to me.

Best wishes,
