Hello guyz and girlz,

I have a problem. I managed to get the community version of DNN installed at my home computer.
I even got a sql server installed and everything during the installation worked fine.
But when I surf to my website using http://localhost/dnn (the files are stored under c:\inetpub\wwwroot\dnn)
then I just get an open directory from my files and folders under my fysical map and I'm forwarded to http://localhost/dnn/install
http://img226.imagevenue.com/img.php?...
I installed and configured IIS in a correct way (I think at least, I followed an installation guide)
But I can't seem to find it....

spicy detail, I also have Xampp installed on my computer, but it runs on port 81 :-)

thanks in advance!!

how did you access your website during install? make sure to use the same address to access your site. to remove display of file list, remove public permission to browse the folder. make sure, you added default.aspx as default document for your IIS web site.

Hi Sebastian, thanks already for your help!!

I can remember that I surfed to the install.aspx file or something like it directly.
So in order to have a clean install I threw everything away (DB, Logins, Virtual Dir, ....) and started over.
But now I can't seem to get the DB connection right :'(
In this image you see my configurations and problem.
Can you help me with this one first? I hope if I pass this problem, the other one won't be a problem anymore!!!

THANK YOU!!!

Jo, settings look fine, did you make sure, sql server is configured for Windows and SQL(mixed) authentication, remote access has been granted and TCP/IP protocol enabled for server and client?

Hello again,

and thanks again for your quick reply.
I'll look into it tonight when I'm at home.
I didn't touch any of these settings, so if these are the defaults, then it still won't work tonight.
But I'll look at these settings and ajust them in a correct way.
thanks in advance!!
