Hello, I've recently come to manage a website using the DNN modules and I can't say that I can make too much sense of it. Our problem is that we can't seem to make the shipping costs account each individual item. It would simply account for the first shipping rate as a flat shipping rate, then everything else added to the shopping cart would not be accounted for. How can this be fixed? Thanks!

On a slightly related issue, how would one give the customer a 'store pick up' option as well? Thanks.

Hi,

The default shipping provider is 'weight' based. At checkout the content cart is transmited to the shipping provider, then the provider sum the weight of all product and search in the db a corresponding scale to define the shipping price to apply. If you need a different behavior, you can create your own shipping provider. If you create a new provider with a different name AND folder, you will be able to upgrade the Store module without modifying your provider nor even rebuild it!

It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hi,

By 'store pick up' do you mean to allow the customer to take his product(s) at the warehouse? If yes, this is on my (loonnngg) to do list! ;-)

Thanks for the help Giles, Would managing the provider be under the Store Setting->Shipping Rate option or under simply the Store Setting (general) setting?
