There seem to be a version conflict in your files, make sure upgrade zip has been unblocked before unpacking and all files are properly extracted, overwriting existing files.

 Hi Sebastian,

can you send me an email, so I can send you the config file. I have reextrackt the upgrade over the elder site, without success. I'm pretty sure the eror must be in the config file. My email address is tomas.alsbro(at)gmail.com

Thanks / Tomas

First you make the Auto Upgrade to false in the web.config file of your website.

Then unzip the upgrade file of dotnetnuke into your website folder and run the following url in your browser.

http://yourwebsite/install/install.aspx?mode=upgrade

You have to set the fist document that should be used on the IIS to the app_offline.htm file instead the Default.aspx file. After successful upgrade you have to set this back to the Default.aspx.

Hi Matthias,

As far as I know, app_offline.htm is processed by ASP when it receives a request, and it doesn't require changing the IIS default document on DNN installations,  The upgrade instructions don't mention changing the IIS default and creating the app_offline.htm is sufficient to take the ASP app offline.

Regards.
