Attempted to install DNN 5.05 on a Windows 2003 Server and MS 2008 SQL.  I ran through all the install tutorials and I'm getting error "This error (HTTP 403 Forbidden) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the website, but it does not have permission to view the webpage.".  I have installed this in IIS v6 as a virtual website.  All accounts seem to be ok.

Check your documents and be sure default.aspx is in the list. Your 443 error is probably directory browsing if the page is not on the list. Just add it and it should work. -I know this reply is to an old post, but I couldn't find the answer and this was the same error. This is for anyone coming behind me to try. :) Cheers
