OK, here's something I have never come across before.  I have a working 5.5.0 site that was created with a fresh install of 5.5.0 and using the install wizard.  I then upladed the 5.5.1 upgrade package (that I have successfully installed on numerous test and production sites) to the site using FTP (as I have done several times) and ran the www.mydomain.com/install/install.aspx... (tried upgrade also) and all I get is a blank page.  Nothing happens.  If I go back to the home page it renders just fine.

Has anyone seen this?

Cheers

Well, never did resolve it. I ended up copying the production site back to my test site, used the same upgrade files and everything worked great. I then uploaded the test site to production and everything functioned beautifully in 5.5.1. Cheers

there seems to be any configuration or environment setting- or even permission, preventing the upgrade to perform smoothly - however, it is difficult to evaluate just by some very few observations, sorry.
