Simple install on IIS6 of DNN 05.01.04 (3) from when that was current and trying to upgrade to DNN 05.05.01 fails.  Nothing fancy or out of the ordinary on this DNN installation.  I had to edit the download.vb because of an error in the code of that file. Then the telerik.dll was missing from the bin folder. Now the html module isn't rendering it would see so I see all my html module containers and no content in them.  *sigh*

I followed Chris Hammond's Instructions for an upgrade and step 6 seems to be the issue. There were three errors on upgrade but they error displays just displayed numbers, no module names. I assume versions of those 3 modules didn't upgrade correctly.

Is there a tried and true way to go from 05.01.04 (3) to 05.05.01 (22) because I'd love to upgrade my older install to the new.

Thanks.

This could happend on several thinks, and waiting to long for upgrading could always have a higher risk.  I think I remember that on some cases any modules had to upgrade first.

Other think could be that any permissions on the subfolders are not correct, so I would check this.
