I see from the other posts that there are the same issues with speed that I am experiencing. I am also timing out like crazy on two new 5.5.1 site I just put up. I am using KeepAlive and can't believe all the non-responsive time out errors that I am receiving. Is there anyone who has found a setting or two that can be tweaked? I tried truncating the database and that doesn't help. Is thins just a 5.5.1 bug, or a memory hog issue? I am on a shared hosting provider that placed my sites in dedicated app pools and it is so expensive to add dedicated resources.  If it is a memory hog, what is the best previous release that doesn't have speed and time-out issues? Thanks!

  • Are you using single language only or multiple languages?
  • How many pages are there in your portals?

hm, now I am experiencing timeouts here as well... but most likely caused by new forums module version.

Besides these timeouts, are you experiencing a high level of other errors on the site too?

NOTE: The timeouts here had nothing to do w/ 5.5.1 or the forum module.

Hello, and thank you for your kind assistance. I am only using single language. These are both very basic sites. The one only has 6 pages. The other has 7.  I have had errors when signing out of the site, but not every time. I just received the below error on the one site:

This webpage is not available.

The webpage at http://dev.naturesavenger.com/Default.aspx?tabid=40might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

     More information on this error

    Below is the original error message

    Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): Unknown error.
