Hello,

I am currently running version 5.4.2. and was trying to find the feedback module... can probably somebody tell me where to find it...?

Should not be too complicated, I know that, but as I am not experienced with the whole program I cannot find it....

Thanks....

Although the previous release of DotNetNuke Feedback module would be available for installation in your DotNetNuke v 5.4.2 site by logging in as host user then navigating to Host-->Extensions then "Install Available Extensions", I would recommend downloading and installing the newest version of Feedback, v 05.00.02. The new version fixes many bugs and includes a number of enhancements.

The Feedback v 05.00.02 install package may be downloaded from: http://dnngallery.codeplex.com/releas...

After logging in to your site as host user, navigate to Host-->Extensions then use the "Extension Install Wizard" to select and upload the Feedback install package (a zip file) and begin its automatic installation. Feedback 05.00.02 is compatible with DotNetNuke versions 5.02.03 and later.

For some reason I cannot login as Host, but as Admin. Besides the Admin, there are no other users...?!?!   :-/

I think I figured out that my main problem is not how to install the feedback module but to login as "Host". As I researched a little bit, I am obviously not the only one having this problem.

The site has been set up by "Untangle my web", as well has been DNN installed by them.

As I do not have any details how to login as host, I tried the default login 'host' and 'dnnhost'. Fail.

So, if anybody has any ideas how I can get access to the website as 'host', i would be very thankful...

Thanks

You will need to contact your hosting provider as they installed DotNetNuke for you and ask for the host account password. Depending on the hosting plan, some low cost providers install a single DotNetNuke instance for multiple clients (each on a separate portal). In those cases, access to the host account will not be available to you. You would then need to have the hosting provider install the new version of the Feedback module for you.
