in admin / site settings I changed the registration page to point to a custom registration page .  Im now trying to reverse the process so I can use the default registration page.

 As the custom page is not working I tried to use Admin / site settings  registration page = None from the drop down.  But that is not working it is still pointing to the custom registration page.

Try restarting the Application Host --> Host Settings click "Restart Application" at the bottom of the page.
Also verify all your page settings under Admin --> Site Settings --> Advanced Settings are the same as I list in this issue:

hi can you tell me where I would change these settings - the admin / site settings advanced settings / registration page = none is not working.
what does that modify / does it modify a table in sql - a config file ?

I'll just set it manually

well i got the default registration back.  the solution was changing the the mode from verify to none then back to verify..

Who knows why - but that did the trick.  Obviously there is a bug  with setting the registration page
