The project I'm working on is unfortunately trapped on DNN version 4.09.00 so this question is concerning pretty outdated code.  I apologize for that but I'm hoping someone might be able to offer some help anyway.

When we add links in the FCKEditor and enable link tracking using "Track Number Of Times This Link Is Clicked?"  the link isn't being added to the URLTracking table in the database.  It works if we add a link using the links module and that's using the same control code (URLTracking.ascx).  So it only seems to fail in the FCKEditor which is using fcklinkgallery.aspx

The link is correctly formatted by the linkgallery page (/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=AdLqTh%2bRG7s%3d&tabid=36) but the database isn't being populated with the link info.

Does anyone have an idea what I can check to fix this?  It's very misleading to users because they think that they're creating tracked links but those links aren't actually being tracked.

I assume you will need to check out linkclick source code yourself - and am not sure whether this has been fixed in subsequent released due to missing UI for retrieving the information. However, I strongly suggest upgrading to 4.9.5 due to security issues fixed.
