Hi all!
Sorry, I forgot to log this issue to issue tracker but Sebastian did it here: DNN-13258 - Search special characters
This issue still exists in dnn version 6.0.1 and the solution is the same.

Nice to find the answer to the problem I'm looking for, from a thread I myself created several years ago! :)

The problem seems to be solved in 7.0.5 perhaps earlier. But still there are many DNN 5/6 installations left with this error.

DNN 6.1.3 use C-sharp instead. The code can be found on line 346. Deleting HtmlEncode does not work. Change HtmlEncode to HtmlDecode instead. (\DesktopModules\Admin\SearchResults\SearchResults.ascx.cs)
