I am suprised that native english speaking people can program in more than one language :)

Maybe a solution is to have one page in VB and one page in C# ....just like the content localization.

Will put my 5 cents. For real developer it is np what language to develop VB or C#. But each has preferences. C# is preference as for me, but np to write the same on VB. This is .NET - everything is simple.

Just a bit of advice...  I would much rather us say something like "for a senior developer" or "a more experienced developer".  When you say something like "a real developer" it automatically causes some people to get defensive and take an emotional stance on topics like this one, rather than a logical stance.

That being said, I whole-heartedly agree that any senior developer will be able to be multi-lingual in at least 2 .Net languages (usually more).  While all developers will have a preference, most senior developers will not care either way.

Also, just  a reminder to all...  I am not the decision-make in this topic, and there is no guarantee or any other indicator that the core will be changed to C# or when.  This thread and survey are performing a similar function as the C# version of the core project.  This is just an exercise in gaining a better understanding of how much interest there is either way, and why.
