Dave, private messages need to reside on the user profile page.

Let me just check to see if I did this correctly because that doesn't work either.

1) I created a page called User Profile.
2) Dropped the User Profile module on it.
3) In the Admin settings I set both the User Info and Registration to redirect to this User Profile page (This all works fine).
4) I added the new Messages Module to the User Profile page and again it shows only when in Layout Mode but with no content.

Dave, this is strange, we need to investigate. Are you able to compare the page with profile page of a plain vanilla DNN 5.6.2 install?

I am in the process of installing a new Vanilla Install so I can develop some new modules. Before I start development I will try this and report back.

you need to go to Extensions in ADMIN menu and grant publish permission to administrators user role, and they will get it listed in the Control panel dropdown list (btw: did you try our Advanced Cotrol Panel from www.oliverhine.com yet?)

I don't see any options except "Create Package" and "Cancel". I see the Messaging module in the Extensions list in both Admin and Host sections, but I still don't see the Message module available in the drop-down list to actually add to the page. I am logged in as host. (This is version 5.6.2)
