So I am trying to install DNN again, when I get to the "configure Database Connection" I am selecting SQL Server 2005/2008 Database", I cannot create the database. I keep getting "Invalid Database" and "SQL Login Failed". Here is what is seledted:
Server = .\SQLExpress
and I am using integrated security.

Using the SQL Server Managament Studio tool I can connect and login to the SQLEXPRESS using Windows authentication.

How come I can't install DNN?

I cannot install the DNN using the SQL Server 2005/2008 Database option. When I try to re-install DNN, I get to the "Configure Database Connection" page and select SQL Server 2005/2008 Database, because I don't want to use the SQL Server File install. But I can't get past this screen. I keep getting the following errors:
- Invalid Database
- SQL Login Failure

However I can connect to the database using SQL Server Managament Studio using Windows Authentication. I have tried every security option but I just can't get past this screen.

if you already installed DNN you should not reinstall it. you need to adopt both connection strings manually in your web.config file.

Just thinking, maybe the DNN install doesn't recognize SQL Server 2008 because it can't login? Is there a username I have to set up in SQL Server 2008 for DNN to work with it?

OK - So I am now going thru the Install Video at http://www.dotnetnuke.com/tabid/1604/Default.aspx

It talks about setting up a new Database in SSMS - I think this is my problem - I will go thru this video and see what I am missing.
