The documentacin tells me that exists a file called dnn.config inside the folder /Install, but not such file exists.  So I cannot install DNN  according to the documentation (DotNetNuke Installation Guide.pdf).

Can someone help me?

Thanks!

I don't recall the guide saying anything like that. If I were you, I'd read it once more very carefully. There's a release.config that needs to be changed and renamed to web.config.

Do you know the truth when you hear it?

You can see that in "DotNetNuke Installation Guide.pdf", page 20.

"The fourth setting (“UseDnnConfig”) which is also set to true by default, tells

DotNetNuke whether to read the current Database version from the dnn.config file in the

/Install folder. As upgrades do not happen on every Application Start using this file can

reduce the number of Database hits, and improve performance. At the end of

Installation/Upgrade the current version is written to this file. If the Assembly Version

is the same as the version in this file, nothing will happen. If it is different then

AutoUpgrade will confirm that the Database Version is indeed different and proceed

accordingly."

the dnn.config files does not exist for initial installation, it is only created after install to avoid the database hit from checking the version after application recycle. I believe it's been removed from the next release as the database hit is minimal and removing it will reduce support issues related to it such as this.
