So then, the assembly name (from the project properties>Application tab) is Incite. The DynoRoom and the the root namespace is blank - both important pieces of information.

In the file containing the controller class Dyno_GarageController, is there a namespace directive? If so, is it Incite.TheDynoRoom or is it Incite.Modules.Dyno_Garage?

William,

Thanks so much for your time in helping me along on this one.

To answer your question, that's the thing, there is no other file in my project that references the Dyno_GarageController. If I search for the string "controller" in the whole project, there is no other reference to it other than in the .dnn file: <businesscontrollerclass>Incite.Modules.TheDynoRoom.TheDynoRoomController</businesscontrollerclass>

There were some code behind files that were created with the Starter Template that had: "Namespace Incite.Modules.TheDynoRoom". But I ended up excluding those files user controls and just creating my own, which do not reference any Namespace. What is the Business Controller supposed to correspond to or what references it in the project?

I figured it out...I just never even had a business controller class in my project. I created one that was empty, but then DNN could find it and now it works.

It would be nice to find a good, thorough tutorial on creating custom modules. I've scrapped together bits and pieces across the web...and probably won't be able to repeat it next time :)
