I am trying to customise the registration form in DNN 5.5.1 but can only get the standard fields to display (UserName, FirstName, LastName, DisplayName, EmailAddress, Password, ConfirmPassword)

I want to add address fields (Street, City, Region etc) and have tried to do so by setting the field properties to required and visible to all users (in Admin>User Accounts>Manage Profile Properties) and then by setting the "Require a valid Profile for Registration" value to true (in Admin>User Accounts>User Settings) as I have read on other forums that the registration form should update automatically to display these fields but it does not (I'm assuming the forums are discussing old versions of DNN).

Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong, this has to be a simple task. Also please don't recommend any third party modules as I'm sure this can be done without them.

Thanks

I can't confirm, in DNN 5.6.0 I get the profile displayed properly beneath the user data, if required for registration. There is no need to alter visibility of the properties - this is not used for registration but if users get other user's profiles displayed.

The problem is I had no user registration page, when I clicked the register link it just took me back to the home page so I had to create a new registration page and add the users and accounts module (deleting all but user registration). A previous post in these forums suggested creating a new page with the registration template but there are no templates to choose from in new page creation :(

if you create a user registration page, make sure to add security module and messaging module as well as specifying it as user page in site settings.

I have specified the page as a user profile page in site settings and also tried adding the security and messaging modules (not sure what difference they would make though) but still all I get is: http://www.microbac.co.uk/Profile.aspx I have set up the fields that I want to show as required in the manage profile properties page and set the require valid profile for registration value but still I only have the default registration page. This shouldn't be difficult....
