Hi,
I have a standalone web service doing some insertion into db. For security reasons I'll have to check whether a DotNetNuke's User is a valid or not. For that I'm also sending Username and Password in the plain text format to that service, but I would like to know how can I authenticate a user with the database? I don't know how DNN is using encryption/decryption algorithm for the sake of user authentication. Please help me out!

/Ilyas
