Hi Chris,
Thanks for the compliments.  I know you have been through quite a bit converting your site and hope we can continue to help.  The good thing about hosting with PowerDNN is that they know DotNetNuke much better than GoDaddy.  I think the problem with GoDaddy shared hosting is that they don't allocate enough ram for the app pool.  I also noticed during my testing frequent app restarts just browsing pages.  My problems with GoDaddy began immediately after installing DotNetNuke.  I was having performance problems just trying to complete the configuration of a new install.

I had used Godaddy Deluxe Hosting in the past for a few other small sites without any problems, but it really seems like something has changed within the past year with their hosting setup.  It really is a shame because they offer some great management tools and a great price.

We have many customers using PowerDNN shared hosting.  Many customers also eventually upgrade to dedicated servers.  All depends on your budget of course.  Personally, after using the MaxESP option from MaximumASP, I would highly consider moving that direction before upgrading to a dedicated server.  Many times dedicated servers come pre-loaded with a bunch of crap that you never use and just take up more resources.

Hopefully I will have some time to blog about the GoDaddy experience later tonight.  You can see I touched on it a little in my latest blog post.

If you still aren't sure, you may also want to post on our forums.  Hosting topics usually generate some pretty good feedback.

Thanks,
Will

Hey I have a similar issue with http://www.brookwoodhs.com.  just upgraded to 5.6 to see if performance would improve.. it has not.  The only odd part of this site is every teacher (250) has log-in and edit rights to certain parts of the site.  The site is hosted at Crystaltech not GoDaddy.
