Our test site has been considerably updated and I want to move the backend SQL server database only from the test site to the live site to replace the existing live site database. Both test and live sites have exactly the same installations of DNN (test is actually a copy of live taken a couple of months ago - only updates have changed). Is this possible and please could you outline the steps I need to take.
Thanks.

Katie, this is possible, here are some of the basic steps. (I would encourage you to do this in a new test environment a few times to make sure it all works right)

1. Make sure your PortalAlias table contains the proper portal alias for production.
2. Backup the test database
3. Backup the production database
4. Restore the test backup over the production database
5. Make sure to configure the user who had access in SQL Server to the production database so that they have access to the newly restored production database.
