Hi All,

This is Bhushan, A software engineer in a small IT firm.
I want to compile Form and List module Source version, So that the changes that I had made to that module would reflect while using it.

For this purpose I had installed DotNetNuke_Community_05.06.00_StarterKit.vsi and then I selected ‘New website’ option in my visual studio 2010. After this I couldn't find any template for 'DotnetNuke Web Application Framework' under Visual C#, But I found the same under Visual Basic.

So my question is how can i have 'DotnetNuke Web Application Framework' template under Visual C#?, So that I can develop or Edit modules for DNN 5.

Would anybody please help? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Regards,
Bhushan Gholap

that's odd, the c# versions should be there., however you may wish to consider these c# templates , they're more modern - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/VideoLibrary/Viewer/TabId/1613/VideoId/107/Module-Development-Template-Installation.aspx

Hi,
Can't you just make an new C# project outside the DNN instalation, but with the DNN DLL references?
-> then it's just a matter of copying the ascx and dll files to the correct locations in the DNN instalation

I even think you can debug this way.

Good luck

Hi All,

Thanks for the reply. I will surely try the new template suggested by Cathal. Olivier’s approach is also sounds good. So I will try the both.

Thanks Cathal & Olivier, Thank you very much for your replies.
