Gday guys,

Had a customers site go live today, and had some odd errors form. Luckily, Im with PowerDNN, and their techs there sorted it out for me.

However, the issue has me a little concerned. It appears dozens of aliases were being entered into the portal aliases without our knowledge? Anyone know anything more on this? A possible fix?

That is a known issue in DNN 5.06.00 which affects some but not all sites is is related to changes that were made to the UrlRewriteModule in this version in order to implement automatic portal alias mapping. It is expected to be resolved in DNN 5.06.01 which should be released sometime this week - possibly on Wednesday.  I am still uncertain what particular server configurations trigger the issue but have seen mention of it happening more often if you are running in an ASP.Net 4.0 application pool in the classic rather than integrated pipeline model.

Thanks for posting this update - I have upgraded two problem sites and found the issue has been resolved without the need to keep adding those portal aliases to the table.    The 5.6.1 RC build resolved this.
