Can anyone that is either on the DNN Corp team or anyone that is familair with the RADEditor and editing web.config files explain how (when it is ready - I know the 5.6.2 beta is not out yet) to edit the web.config to allow the site to use the DNN integrated 2010 Q2 RadEditor as opposed to the DNN werk Editor.

Thanks!

I am on the core team (but not on the team that's doing the 5.6.2 release) - the issue is that at the moment this hasn't been done yet, so you'll have to wait until it's done before the information is available. We'll likely blog about any necessary changes as well as update the relevant page on the wiki when this is available.

The dnnwork provider has a module that installs with the provider - this module lets you control which provider is used WITHOUT the need to edit your web.config manually.

Just install the dnnwork provider and add the config module to a page.

The config module is very powerful it also allows a huge amount of control over how the html editor looks and functions one of the biggest advantages is the ability to easily setup a editor.css file that matches the styles used in your skins.css file.

Note however there are some odd bugs and other weirdness in the dnnwerk provider - its handling of links in particular is bugged at the moment.

I will keep an eye out for a blog post or any information regarding this release - Thanks for the heads up.

 Westa,

I am aware of the RAD Configuration. In fact I am using it now to customize the editor for the time being. I have to agree that this is very buggy at the moment and my fingers are crossed that these issues are fixes in the 5.6.2 release my clients have been very upset with this editor. I have my fingers crossed for this... I am sure others do as well. Personally I see a lot of issues with fonts and spacing.
