Hello all,

Since upgrading to 5.6.1,  my event log is filled with an error related to compression (listed below).

A few things to note:

1)  This appears to be account based in some way.   It's only happening to certain users.
2) It does not appear to be related to the browser.  Happens for the same users on multiple browsers, clearing cookies does not help.
3) Disabling compression solves the issue.

Please help!   Having to turn compression off is not a good solution for me.

Thanks!

Ok, well at least I know I'm not the only one this is happening to... Are you on IIS 6 or 7 (we're using 6).

Me... I dont know.  Mine is running on a host site.  One of the guys that specialize in DNN.

I was there person blocked out of the site, otherwise I might not have known!
The host did the upgrade.  I kept thinking the site was down.  Then I realized it worked from my iPhone.  Then I texted a friend and it worked for them.
Tried 5 machines at work and it did NOT work.  We have a pretty big tech staff at work (my work is seperate from my DNN site) and I asked our tech security guys if we were caching at the proxy and we arent...  so the funny thing is, he says "Well whats the site..." and bingo, it comes up on his computer!

In the end, I was trying to tweak some compression settings and I knocked out the site completety.

So my host rolled me back cleanly

I dont wish this problem on anyone, but now thinking others will have this issue and DNN will issue another update
