Make sure you are coping the file to the right directory.  It should just copy right over the top the current settings file.  You might also have to clear your cache or wait for the app to recycle before you see a change.

Cheers,

Hi Adeian!

I have followed the same steps given in the site. In that it's been specified as to extract the .dll file and copy it into the 'bin' directory of the dotnetnuke. I have followed the same.. even then I got this error. :(

To get into the configuration screen you need the file called Settings.ascx.  Copy that over the current Settings.ascx file in the ../desktopmodules/Gallery directory.

It will only work if you are using DNN 3.1.1 and Gallery version 3.0.11.  With DNN 4+ you will still get errors.

The Gallery.dll file has a couple of fixes that allow you to change skins once you can get into the configuration screen.  That file just needs to be copied into the bin directory that DNN uses but won't fix the errors you get if you have not copied over the new Settings.ascx file.

Hi Adiean,

Thanks for your reply.

Actually I have only one file in the GalleryDll.zip having only the .dll file. And also I have already an Settings.ascx file in my ../Desktopmodules/Gallery folder. I am not getting which file I have to copy! :(

Can you please guide me..?

It's pretty easy.  You already have both of the files settings.aspx and the gallery.dll file as part of your original download.  You need to replace the ones you have with the versions that you download from my site.

So go over to my site and download settings.zip and gallerydll.zip.  Unzip them and copy the files they contain over the top of the ones you have on your site now.  Everything should work after that.

Cheers,

Hi Adeian,

Thanks a lot. I have downloaded the Settings.zip file. I'll start work on that, once my other works are done.

Thanks once again.
