Hi Jay,

It depends on the Store version you used to create your version! The more simple way is to install another DNN instance and the Source package of the Store version 03.00.00, then compares your source version with the new one using WinMerge. You will be able to see all differences between each version and reapply the new ones to your version.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Ok.. thanks, Gilles - I'll try Win Merge to help keep in sync.

Thanks,

Jay

Is anyone able to answer a few questions regarding the version 3.00.00?

Does the module email the user when they complete and order?  I just did a test on my test site and placed and order and did not receive an email verifying.

Next, when adding a downloadable product is the downloadable product sent via the email as an attachment or is the user given a download location in the store?  I made it a downloadable product and do not see the download on the site when logged in as the user who purchased the sample product.

Is there a way to add a short description and then a long description of a product so it can displayed in different places?

Is there a way to show products on a different page other than the store?

thanks for the help,
Dennis

Hi Dennis,

The module send email to the customer and to the store admin! Please verify if your smtp server is correctly defined under Host > Settings and if you have specified an email address for the store admin in the Store Admin module.

All downloadable products purchased can be downloaded in the Store Account module, simply click on 'Downloads' you will have all download links. You can change the text of the email send to the customer to explain that, please read the chapter 8 in the templating guide for details.

You can use the field 'Summary' for the short description and the field 'Description' for the ... ? :-) You can change how products are displayed, please read the Templating Guide available at Codeplex.

You can use several Store Catalog modules in one portal, but don't forget to uncheck the setting 'Enable Content Indexing' in the module settings or your products will be indexed several times. Only one Store Catalog must be indexed! Again you can have a different display for each catalog, please read... :-)
