Hi,
I'm using the XML module in a scenario where the data is sensitive. Access to the page that contains the module requires the user to login. Therefore I thought that I would upload the xml source file to a secure file system folder (and as a result the .resources extension is appended to the file name). When configuring the xml module, I am able to select the xml file and it displays without the .resources extension. When the module executes, nothing is displayed. To figure out what was going on, I modified my xsl file to output the source xml in an html comment and this is what it says is in my xml data source file:
<noData cause="Exception" message="Could not find file 'c:\websites\[...]\MembershipList.xml'."></noData>
(I modified the path, adding the [...].) Note that the file is not referenced with the .resources extension.

Is this not a supported usage? A bug? Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Paul

You are right, files within Secure File System folder are not supported either as Xml source nor XSLT stylesheet. This is currently by design.
If it is important for you, please add this as work item to http://dnnxml.codeplex.com/workitem/l...
