Dan,

Do you know what version of OS your host server is running?  I did find several mentions in various Microsoft/.Net forums concerning GDI+ errors when saving JPEG-JFIF compatible images on systems running Windows 7/Windows Server 2008 that were not seen when running the same code under Windows XP, Vista, Windows Server 2003.

William,

Yes, Windows Server 2008.
It makes sense since it works fine on my XP Dev. machine.
Also on my dev. machine... it never made the folder/folder permissions entries in the DB... ??

I also seem to remember a while back a blog site that wouldn't take my .jpg.

I'm emailing you a .jpg (zipped) for your use.

Thanks for all your help.
Go take that dog for a walk!

Thanks for sending the JPEG/JFIF compatible file to test.  I was not able to get it to open successfully any of the half-dozen image editing programs that I have on a Windows 7 system nor even using the Windows Photo Viewer. All attempts indicated that the file was damaged or corrupt. Adobe Photoshop 7 did give a more detailed error - "reading spatial/lossless JPG files is not supported". So, I'm not sure if the file became further corrupt after being zipped/unzipped or the original would give the same error. Have you tried opening this an other JPEG/JFIF compatible files by right clicking on the file icon then selecting "Preview" from the context menu in Windows 7 ?

Guess I'll take Duke for another walk - we do a minimum of 4 miles a day - otherwise I have to increase his Prosac doseage.

William, I finally had some time to do some testing. In my jpg encoding options I had 'lossless' selected. I changed it to 'standard' and everything works fine! Thanks for all your help on this. Go walk that dog again! Dan
