I have a site that uses a pretty picture of some buildings as a background.

Whenever I go to edit content in the HTML Pro editor, the pretty picture is the background of the HTML Pro box and I can't see the text I am typing.

Is there a nice way I could convince the HTML Pro editor to use a plain white background?

Thanks

most likely, there is an issue with the skin, make sure the background is not applied to any body, but only to a body tag with id body.

Thank you for the quick response Sebastian.

I will review the skin and see what it is doing.  I have also questioned Artisteer (where I designed the skin) to see if they have an answer.

Regards

John

Check out this video - I think it may help:

Hi
The problem is not in the skin but more likely in the editors css.  AFAIK: Editors open in iFrames so the skins css would not apply.
If using the DNNWerk editor simply add a body tag with the desired background colour to the editor.css in your skins folder.
If using the default Telerik editor look in /Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Telerik/EditorOverride.css
If using the FCK editor - Cannot remember but you may well be much better off using the DDNWerk editor which is going to be the default in DNN6 I think.

Also try searching on http://www.searchdotnetnuke.com/     editor background    for all the many posts on this subject.
