I've got it running on 2008 R2 at home so I know it works. That said, did you look at the stickied posts at the top of the forum? I setup my test AD install at home using Dan Ball's instructions.

Yes, I followed his instructions and am still getting the"permissions" error; as in this thread: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/F...

Plus too, this is Server 2008 SP-2, this isn't Server 2008 R2..  There shouldn't be any changes between the two, but it's possible..

Ah sorry, my bad on the R2/SP-2. I've had it running on regular 2008 in the past as well.

My initial reaction is that you should try impersonation but you say it is working when you login manually. Is that the case for new users as well? 90% of the time the majority of errors are fixed if impersonation is used.

What do you mean by trying impersonation?  Where do I look to find this and resolve this?  Thanks.. -Jeff

If I un-rem the  "<add name="Authentication" type="DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory.HttpModules.AuthenticationModule, DotNetNuke.Authentication.ActiveDirectory" />" line, I get the "The Active Directory Provider requires the site to be running under Full Trust and/or in Classic mode in IIS 7.0" error.

What needs to be done for this?  I think this is why the auto-NTLM login is no longer working properly.
