I have multiple DNN 5.6.1 websites using the DNN Telerik editor and they are working fine, and one site is not. In the site in question when I try to link a document and I go to document management it is blank - I don't see any files. In my searching I cannot find any solutions.

In the same site I previously discovered that the image manager, which is use the editor, could also not access any files to upload or use images already on the site (it was blank). I did a search and found out that I am not a lone with the problem We did the following to address this issue:

1. Added an images foldedr at the portal root.  This file will now be where all images are
stored for the site.

2. Modifited the ConfigDefault.xml file in this directory: /httpdocs/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Telerik/Config

added:
<property name="ImageManager.ViewPaths">,Portal Root/Images</property>

i found this solution by searching DNN forums (so thank you for your posts) - but I am not finding a discussion around the Document Manager.

I also did not see any one from DNN commenting on why this is happening and how to fix it (if you did and I missed it I apologize). It took me hours to find the solution for the image manager and now I have a new problem to struggle with.

I made a similar change to the ConfigDefault.xml file

added:
<property name="ImageManager.ViewPaths">,Portal Root/Images</property>

This allows me to see the Docs folder - but none of the other folders where the end-users already have documents.

I then changed the Docs to a folder with sub-folders where all the documents are, but I cannot see the sub-folders only the folder that is specified in ConfigDefault.xml file.

Can someone please offer a better solution for DNN 5.6.1.

Thanks!

Judy

Why isn't anyone from DNN responding to these issues?  I am not the only one having this issue.  From the posts related to the image manager it seems like the problem is pretty wide spread.

I suggest using improved dnnWerk RAD editor provider from radeditor.codeplex.com
