My Requirement:
My event module is used for capturing cultural events in organization.
Need custom registration instead of enrollment. (User should be able to fill some details like number of persons coming for event, pickup point , parents credentials etc)
Also need moderation for this registration. by admin.
Kindly help me what modifications i need to do (Database table, spoc modification and UI layer handling)

Thanks,
Shripriya

Hi Shripriya,

What you ask would need a pretty extensive answer I think, and much of the work that needs to be done would be based on your specific requirements. My suggestion is that you should download the code and try to understand what and how the module works, then ask specific questions when you don't understand how the module works.

Alternatively I believe there are commecrial registration modules out there that you can buy.

hi Roger,

I have downloaded events module source code from codeplex. This downloaded code contains 2 projects only:
  1. DotNetNuke.Events (VB)
  2. DotNetNuke.Events.ScheduleControl (VB)

While opening the solution file I got following error:
Unable to read project file 'DotNetNuke.Events.vbproj' D:/....../Events_05.01.05_Source\sources\Installation\Project.targets(5,11):
The imported project "C:\Program Files\MSBuild\MsBuildCommunityTasks\MSBuild.Community.Tasks.Targets" was not found.
Confirm that the path in the <Import> declaration is correct, and that the file exists on disk

As per my undrestanding two other projects are missing DotNetNuke.Events.SqlDataProvider (VB) and DotNetNuke.Events.WebControls (C#)

You are referring to an old version of Events. The latest verion of Events has all in VB.net and only 2 projects.

If you are interested in old versions/source: they all can be found on CodePlex.

The latest versions of the Events module are automatcially build using build scripts/tasks. The basics for this can be found on CodePlex as well: http://dnntcmsbuild.codeplex.com/.

BTW If you are unfamiliar with DNN module an/or .NET web development, you are facing a big challenge to add the features you listed here
