Just installed DNN 5.6.2 for testing purposes.

But I have this strange behavior from the Event module.

Everytime I insert the first event to the event module. The module won't show up again. The modules just shows this error:

"Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown."

DNN: 5.6.2

Events: 5.1.5

I use FCKeditor and not the RAD editor.

This is from the event log:

Hi Urlik,

Can you mail me offline at webmaster @ the domain in my profile. A couple of questions for you to answer. Is this a site you have upgraded, and therefore worked on a DNN version less than 5.6.2? Have you adjusted the templates at all? My only guess is that it is looping somehow.

Cheers

Roger

Hi
The DNN installation is a "fresh" / new installation, not an upgrade.
Have not changed the template for the module.

Hi Ulrik,

To try and replicate I have:-

  • Downloaded DNN 5.6.2 Source (so I can debug if necessary)
  • Built DLLs from source
  • Built default site, and removed the three module from home page
  • Installed Events 5.1.5 as supplied with DNN 5.6.2
  • Added Events module to home page
  • Went into events settings and clicked save - this just populates all the settings properly
  • Edited web.config to add FCK Editor provider config, and set editor to FCK Editor
  • Refreshed site to re-start the app after web.config change
  • Clicked + to add an event
  • Set title to 'Test'
  • Clicked 'Update' to save
  • Event is visible in Month View

Can you guide me as to what you have done different.

Cheers

Roger
