Hello, I've setup 2 domains > domain.cz and domain.eu and added them as aliases to same portal ... their purpose is to perceptually separate website for Czech and European customers. I use 3rd party tool to control which alias sets what language and it works great. Problem is that authentication won't persist when changing between them. I believe its because of the authentication cookie being set just for one domain? Can I somehow remedy this so these 2 domains share same authentication state?

Thanks in advance.

authentication is stored in a coockie, which is always bound to a single domain (by design).

Its a bit complex project. We have made the similar 6 mongths ago. You need:
1) To realize sync of user accounts betwen 2 portals. In case it is the same Portal - then do not need.
2) Once user logins to either domain.cz or domain.eu then you have to:
  •  install cookies for first;
  • redirect to the private script at the second site with SecureKey and install cookies there also (based on SecureKey);
  • make redirection back to the first site.
In this case your user will be logged in at the both sites. This method can be repeated at the any number of sites.
