My CSS skills are better than HTML, but I've been looking at some HTML tutorials online and reading some books. Tutorials and books are nice, but they don't answer when I ask them specific questions. I'm still trying to figure out the syntax of DNN, especially relating to the panes and the runat= server thing.

John,

The .ascx file is pretty much just HTML elements with the addition of the SkinObject and pane code.

The Panes and SkinObjects are usually enclosed in HTML tags, generally the panes are within Div elements (their IDs and the runat="server" turns them into the panes you can work with). As long as you move the whole element it should work wherever it is placed. If you can list any specific Q's I'll see if I can get the answers for you.

Regards,

Rick.
