I've been experimenting with a custom skin by making changes to the skin.css file.  So far I've successfully changed the background, moved the logo all the way to the top and eliminated the borders around the logo section.  I also managed to change the color of the links and some of the text, but what I'm struggling with right now is moving the search to the top (out of the menu area) and I would also like to add some links as well.  Would this be done in the skin.css file or another file?  So far I'm manipulating a copy of the Minimal Entropy skin.

John,

To make changes to the structure of the page you'll need to modify the skin.ascx or skinname.ascx files (where skinname is the name of the skin in use). The .ascx files are just like X/HTML files with the addition of some user control code.

If you need to know something specific, can you provide a link to an example of the skin in action?

Hope this helps,

Rick.

Thanks Rick. Since I copied the minimal extropy, not entropy (sorry), I'm looking through the folders for a skin.ascx or a minimalextropy.ascx file and I don't see either. Is it possible that skin would use index.ascx?

I have the sites that I am working on my machine, not published on the web anywhere, sorry.
