Running DNN v5.04.04 Community Edition

I have contact information displayed in an HTML module that also contains the email address of each person.  All except one of the links is in the form of Jdoe@abc.com and they all work correctly, that is when clicked the default mail client opens and the address is displayed in the message correctly.

One of the email addresses on the page is in the form of Jdoe@abc.def.ghi.jkl When this link is clicked the mail client will open but the address displayed has been truncated to Jdoe@abc.def

I have tried this in several modules and recreated the same type of link several times and this happens consistently with an email address where the domain suffix contains more than 2 levels.

When hovering over the link I can see that the following javascript statement is displayed at the bottom of the page:
window.location.replace('ma'+'ilto'+'jdoe'+'@'+'abc'+'def')
which obviously has truncated the address and leads me to think that it is an internal coding issue.

Has there been any documentation of this behavior or a potential fix or workaround?  Thanks
