Use PowerDNN. Forget Godaddy. PowerDNN knows DNN so not only are their servers tuned to run DNN fast, but the support is awesome when you have trouble.

Their prices are just a little too high. It's $280/month for their base server (with no additional software options). That server will support up to about 20 DNN installs. In my opinion, that's way too high.

You know what though, if Godaddy gives you a remote desktop into the server they I would say it should be excellent.  Its not the same as the issues with shared hosting where it really matters how good the company is at managing that shared environment and having it setup to allow DNN.  If you do it yourseld then you can do whatever.  As I look through the packages they really include little and then the costs rack up as you add MS SQL, backup, etc.  I guess your best bet is to put together the config then level the costs to make sure your getting the best deal after all is apples to apples.
Goodluck.

I've had good experience with AMHOSTING.com as well.  They also seem to know DNN pretty well.  Their dedicated servers start at $180

FYI: amhosting is run by powerdnn

Hmm. I didnt know that.  Why would they have another cheaper hosting brand with more space?  Also they are in LasVegas while Power DNN is in Omaha.  Doesnt add up.  Where did you see that info?

For starters they advertise powerdnn on the link you posted (bottom left)... The photos of the techs on the links that you posted are also see around this forum with powerdnn in their forum signature & they are also the same techs that advertise on dnnhelp.com (which is also another powerdnn site).

As for the prices - just goes to show you how much powerdnn are ripping people off..

Amhosting shared hosting = $4.99 month
Powerdnn shared hosting = $20 per month

Powerdnn charges you about 4 times more than any other host..lol

When we were with powerdnn they tried charging us $50 per month every 500mb of extra ram in our dedicated server. So to upgrade our ram from 1gb to 4gb would of cost us an extra $300 per month ($3,600 per year!).

Dedicated IP's were also $10 each (we are currently only paying $1 each).

Hey Guys,
I saw this post this morning and I wanted to personally reach out to everyone on this thread.

It is true that PowerDNN's prices are generally higher than what you'll find most other places, but that is because we specifically try to target business customers with business class service and high-end DotNetNuke expertise.  If we outsourced our support and simply sold customer's disk space and RAM (and made you do all the work yourself) then we'd be able to charge the same price as everybody else, but there would be nothing special about what we do either.

I take a lot of personal pride in PowerDNN being the best.  Like any company, sometimes when we hire new team members, it may take them a few months to find their footing, but if anyone ever has an experience where they feel like things aren't being handled the way they should be, please email me directly ( Tony.Valenti@PowerDNN.com ) or fill out the survey that's at the top of every response our team provides (both myself and all of our managers read every one of those surveys).

@Adam Kirkbride - I am sorry about how your account was handled in the past - the person who was in charge of your account is no longer with the company.  If there is anything I can do for you in the future, please let me know and I'll do just about anything it takes to make up for the past.
