That helps and that is exactly what I was afraid of. 

  • Auto-Subscriptions - To make sure users get announcements or important information, Enterprise customers can enable the auto-subscriptions feature, in which an admin selects forums and users to automatically receive e-mail updates.
  • So to keep the some functionality as my website have today,  I would have to purchase the Enterprise edition.  Hopefully the Community edition is in the process of being trimmed down.

     Hi Greg,
     No, you won't need to purchase anything. It will be a feature in the community edition.
