I currently use a lot of Notification forums with the mail queue.

Will the community edition of Active Forums provide this functionality when the current Forum is retired?

Thanks,
Greg Hart

What does that mean?

I have been using the core Forum module for years and it works fine.  I am asking the core Forum's functionallity module, Active Forums, will have the same functionality that exists today in the community edition of DNN.

Thanks,
Greg Hart

Heres the activeforums feature list - http://www.activemodules.com/ActiveForums/Features.aspx . It does support notifications (in their terminology it's called "Email Subscriptions". It also has some additional functions in this area that look good such as "Monitor User – When a user is monitored, e-mail notifications are sent every time the user posts"

Hi Greg,
Thanks for raising this question. I will need to double check with the team, but I think we have this covered. Active Forums has a feature called "Auto Subscribe" which means you can force user subscriptions to a particular forum by security role. I think that provides the same functionality. Either way, I'll make sure we have this capability in the new forum.
Thanks,
Will
