I have newly installed DNN 06.00.01 Community Version using SQL Server Express on Windows 7 32-bit.

I am trying to create a link to a document that was uploaded to the website via DNN's file manager.

The Document Manager function within the HTML Module editor is not functioning for me. After taking over 30 seconds to appear (on a i7 quad core), the directory browser does not see any document type files (pdf, doc, docx, txt, etc.). And the Insert/Cancel buttons do not work at all. I have to click the panel "X" button to leave the frame.

Also, the Hyperlink Manager suffers a similar issue. The OK and Cancel buttons are not visible under the Hyperlink tab. When I manage to get the mouse to scroll to them, they do not function. They do not function on any of the tabs under Hyperlink Manager.  I have to click the panel "X" button to leave this frame too.

The inability to add simple links to docs and pages to DNN 6 is a show-stopper. Any help would be appreciated!

please try going to host->file manager and selecting sync and check the recursive option.

No effect. The files still do not display.

More troubleing are the issues with the OK/Cancel and Insert/Cancel buttons as described above. They do not work at all. I cannot add a link to another web page or site.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!!

no, im afraid -what you're experiencing is not a common experience (i cant find other references to it in the support log either) so it would suggest something particular to your setup. Without looking at your install it's hard to say what it may be -but one suggestion would be to look at what's happening under the covers with a http proxy such as fiddler - this will allow you to see whether requests are failing for some reason (e.g. missing javascript/permissions issues etc.) - please feel free to post the details back and I'll see if I can help.
