Hi there,

We have just done a clean install of DNN6 on SQL2008 using IIS7 and .NET 4.

Install worked fine but we are getting numerous errors as try and use the site.

For example, when in Admin > Pages and we click a page nothing happens but we get the error:

Also we seem to be getting errors relating to JQUERY.

I am presuming this is an install/configuration issue but cannot seem to get to the bottom of it.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Many thanks

please check admin->event viewer to see if any error are logged . Also, consider going into the module settings and unchecking "enable partial rendering" so the error is shown on screen and not hidden behind the ajax message.

Many thanks for the reply Cathal - much appreciated.

The problem I have is that these errors are not related to modules we have added to pages rather they are happening when we try jus about anything.

For example I have just been into Host > Host Setings and tried to make a change.

When I pressed the update button the Ajax spinner appears and stays there. No update is performed and I can get an error in the broswer tool bar. This one says....

Anything we do in the admin, host or general pages seems to through these errors and the page hangs with the spinner still there and the pages greyed out.

I cannot change any settings as everytime I press update the errors are thrown.

Thats why I am thinking it may be a config issue and maybe something is wrong in web.config? but I really dont know.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

the last issue you've shown doesn't make sense in that the length property is there in the relevant jquery - this would suggest to me that jquery is being loaded twice and therefore the DOM cannot locate it due to duplicate clashing methods. Are you using a custom skin/containers? if so, please check to see if it includes jquery in a script include block - this will be the issue as with 6.0 jquery is basically on every page. Skins should work fine as long as they requestregistration (http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/jQuery.aspx) for jquery and dont add the path themselves directly. It might be worth trying changing skin to see if the error goes away, to allow you to confirm that it is skin related.
